The Initial Meltdown

DAY 1

Kilos Lost - none yet I just started!!
Kilos to Lose - 20 (would be desirable but I will be happy at 15)

What can I say!  I have always been a bit of an impulsive person who is also quite hyperactive which is not a good combination for someone with high blood pressure (lol - that's probably why I have it!!).

This blog was started after one of my internal mental meltdowns last night.  Nothing major had happened, just the usual life demands of work, kids, home etc.  Yesterday was the first day of school and the girls had a fantastic day!  So did I!!  An awesome combination of friends, laughs and retail therapy topped off by a glass of "first day at school wine" at the end of the day.  What a perfect life!!  Then reality steps in and I am reminded that the major cause of my high blood pressure still lurks in the background waiting to suck me back into it's void!!  It didn't help that hubby was in Melbourne for work so I had no one to vent to.  Thank God for ebay!!

After an impulse purchase of a furminator for our mad dog Swiper Cinderella (aka Paris because she is blonde and a little bit simple) I decided not to give into the pressure of what is to come and made the impulse purchase of a Tower 200 (which I will plan to use more than once, unlike the treadmill and all the other exercise junk we all seem to have in the house to collect dust!).  Now I have decided that 2011 is renamed the year of the gun (or should I say the year of my guns!)

The only way I will be able to keep on track and have a level head is to blog my journey to shame me into using my dust collectors for more than just decoration.  My treadmill won't know what hit it!!  I may start this year looking like a kilo of play dough squished into one of my childrens socks but it will end with my goal pants zippering up smoothly without catching any of my muffin top (which by then will not exist!!)

I will be starting this morning by walking my kids to school, then carrying on down to the waterfront to swim laps then walking straight back home.  Look out world!!  This determined bitch is on a mission!!!

  1. I saw you walking with the girls this morning on Wondall Road, good for you Kristy you are my inspiration. I agree this is the year for change, I'm with you in spirit and if schedules work would love to give my muffin top a work out too.
