Nailed it (NOT!!) hahaha

DAY 7
Weight lost - didn't even check because had to race off to work!

Oh what a crap day!!  Spent the whole day learning about stuff that I was never told about the accounts for work and am now expected to try and fix their mistakes when I have no idea what to do!!  Just another day in paradise!  On top of learning all this new information I was still expected to do my regular work and serve customers.  Needless to say by the end of my shift I had no lunch, nothing to drink and no toilet breaks so I was not a happy camper!

I came home to keep on going on with my work and was really in the dumps.  Thank you to my friends who wouldn't take my mood as an excuse to not go to zumba!

It's surprising no matter how bad my day is going it's nice to take some time out and laugh at myself and the fact I have absolutely no rhythm whatsoever!  Lucky I have a nice big booty to shake instead!  I would love to say I nailed it but anyone who saw my wobbly display would wet themselves laughing at me!

I replaced my crap day wine with a crap day workout with friends and I can say it was definitely what the blob doctor ordered!!  Love you ladies xx

Back in the Saddle

DAY 6
Kilos lost - haven't checked
Kilos to go - HEAPS!!

After my relaxing self designated day off for fun yesterday I was back on track today.  I definitely needed a walk after having some yummy pavlova yesterday (which I am sure went straight to by butt).

It was all about balance today.  Started off with an early wake up and a nice leisurely breakfast, then met up with a friend for a coffee catch up mid morning.  The difference with my coffee was I actually walked home after which was a good start!  Nothing like a bit of a laugh before a bit of sweating!  I also did a bit of ironing and boring house stuff in between and just finished it off with a nice 5km walk with my lovely friend and my fam.  Although I am not sure Swiper found it too lovely as she is currently glued to the pavers in the backyard after a 20min swim/drink in her water bucket when we got home.  I think she might need to start her own blob blog!!  At least it's more incentive for me to keep going!  Woman and woman's best friend both on the quest to shrink their behinds!!

The test starts tomorrow when I am back at the shop on my regular shifts.  I am determined that I will make time to eat my lunch and drink enough water when I am supposed to and not get caught up with things and miss out!

Now I think it is time for a Sunday arvo wine and relax!!

What happened to sleeping in?

Day 5
Kilos lost - hopefully at least the 1 from before, I haven't checked

What happened the the days when we were young and full of energy but we slept in until lunchtime!!  While our oldest child is still asleep (and that's after we vacuumed and mopped while speaking quite loudly),  Hubby and I were up at 6am this morning running around frantically getting everything ready for another open house from one agent and the professional photos being taken by another agent.  I hope all this cleaning will equal some exercise since today was going to be my designated day off.

Oh well at least when it's done we can take off while the open house is on.  So if you see a sleeping lump under a tree anywhere please be kind!

I get knocked down but I get up again!

DAY 4
Kilos Lost - 1 woo hoo!!

After a pretty bad couple of days previously I am feeling surprisingly good thanks to a couple of strong mates who won't let me stick my head in a hole.  I have proven to myself that the more I try to avoid things the worse it gets and no one is going to fix my problems for me if I'm not willing to help myself.  I've wasted more time on stressing myself and making up excuses than actually getting in and just going for the walk, what an idiot I've been!!

Inevitably we talked and laughed faster than we walked and we even broke out into the fake run to trick our friend driving past - the only bugger was she drove so slow!  lol

All I can say is "what a perfect way to end the week".  Now it's time to take off my athletic hat and putting on my dirty scrubber hat and clean this house!!

Have a great weekend!

Epic Fail of the Balancing Act!

DAY 3
Weight lost - still haven't checked yet.

Thank God I never joined the circus!  Although I am sure I would make a fantastic clown I proved yet again today that I couldn't juggle to save my life!!

Had a bit on at work today so that meant no lunch until after I picked up the kids from school so I'm now in a filthy mood and totally exhausted with a thumping headache and my blood pressure is now through the roof!

Hopefully hubby will be home early so I can get out for an evening walk with one of my lovely walking pals and pound the pavement with my frustrations!!

I think some "bad day wine" might be on the menu tonight!!  Lucky tomorrow is another day!  I am determined not to be beaten in this quest to shrink my chunky butt!

STILL DAY 3 but a few hours later

Just got back from an awesome walk on the waterfront.  Walking with a friend makes it so much more fun!  Not sure what went faster, our legs or our mouths!  lol

I am now feeling sooo much better, it's like an active therapy and it didn't cost a cent!  So much better for me than the chocolate!  I think Cadbury will notice their shares going down if I keep this up! hahaha!

Suck it up Princess!!

Day 2
Weight lost - haven't checked it's only the second day!

OMG!!  My legs feel like someone is punching them from the inside everytime I walk!!

I am so lucky to have a strong and supportive friends who know when to tell me to suck it up and stop being so soft!  Even though it's a public holiday and I am usually the first to want to sleep in and have a lazy morning, I was up at 6.45am and one of my friends called me at 6.50am to go for a walk.  She is an awesome motivator who will bring the hooch on if I don't get off my fat butt and get to work!

After a 5km walk (with what seemed to be endless hills) my legs worked out some of the knots and I'm ready to start the day!  At least all this walking is taking my mind off all my other stress - it's time to reclaim my sanity!!

Holy Crap!

It's still day one and I have just gotten home.  I am now a foot shorter and my feet have been worn down to nubs after all that walking!

Probably a bit ambitious for my first day but at least it's done!!  Walked the kids to school, the did a 5km walk down at the waterfront followed by a lovely swim of laps and then walked up the hill from Manly Pool to Wynnum Plaza!  Thank God we got a lift home from there!!  I also think there were the extra calories lost by carrying our backpacks with our swim gear and all the talking (talking as to account for some calorie burn I'm sure!!)

I have to laugh though - I walk into work all red faced and exhausted to see one of my younger team mates eating his Maccas after he drove down the driveway to pick it up (Maccas and work are in the same Plaza!)  Oh to be young and thin!!  lol

The Initial Meltdown

DAY 1

Kilos Lost - none yet I just started!!
Kilos to Lose - 20 (would be desirable but I will be happy at 15)

What can I say!  I have always been a bit of an impulsive person who is also quite hyperactive which is not a good combination for someone with high blood pressure (lol - that's probably why I have it!!).

This blog was started after one of my internal mental meltdowns last night.  Nothing major had happened, just the usual life demands of work, kids, home etc.  Yesterday was the first day of school and the girls had a fantastic day!  So did I!!  An awesome combination of friends, laughs and retail therapy topped off by a glass of "first day at school wine" at the end of the day.  What a perfect life!!  Then reality steps in and I am reminded that the major cause of my high blood pressure still lurks in the background waiting to suck me back into it's void!!  It didn't help that hubby was in Melbourne for work so I had no one to vent to.  Thank God for ebay!!

After an impulse purchase of a furminator for our mad dog Swiper Cinderella (aka Paris because she is blonde and a little bit simple) I decided not to give into the pressure of what is to come and made the impulse purchase of a Tower 200 (which I will plan to use more than once, unlike the treadmill and all the other exercise junk we all seem to have in the house to collect dust!).  Now I have decided that 2011 is renamed the year of the gun (or should I say the year of my guns!)

The only way I will be able to keep on track and have a level head is to blog my journey to shame me into using my dust collectors for more than just decoration.  My treadmill won't know what hit it!!  I may start this year looking like a kilo of play dough squished into one of my childrens socks but it will end with my goal pants zippering up smoothly without catching any of my muffin top (which by then will not exist!!)

I will be starting this morning by walking my kids to school, then carrying on down to the waterfront to swim laps then walking straight back home.  Look out world!!  This determined bitch is on a mission!!!
